Landsea Homes acquires Antares Homes

by Emily Marek

Landsea Homes is strengthening its Dallas presence with the acquisition of Dallas-Fort Worth-based builder Antares Homes.

“Since entering Texas in 2021 and purchasing additional lots in August of last year, we have been searching for the right opportunity to expand our presence in Texas,” John Ho, CEO of Landsea Homes, said in a press release. “Antares Homes shares our philosophy of building quality homes and providing exceptional customer service, making them the perfect addition to the Landsea Homes family.”

First announced in early January, the acquisition was finalized last week. Landsea reportedly purchased Antares Homes for $232.2 million in cash, including repayment of approximately $47.2 million in Antares Homes debt.

Following the acquisition, Melissa Kelly, former vice president of sales and marketing for Antares Homes, was appointed president of Landsea’s Dallas-Fort Worth division. Rollie Gonzalez was named vice president of finance, and will join Kelly in the Dallas-Fort Worth office.

Landsea moved its headquarters to Dallas last year.
