What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

Corporate trainer.

Where did you grow up?

Fort Worth.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

Musician.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

Work out or golf.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

I would want to interview any real estate mogul living or deceased to find out their best investment strategies, how they began financing and how do they leverage time, talent and treasures.

What is Dallas’ best-kept secret?

The Rooftop of Soda Bar in Dallas Coombs Creek Trail. South Dallas (Oak Cliff) Prayer mountain.

What do you love most about the industry?

I love helping people reach their dream of homeownership.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

I have an insane curiosity I often call my super power. It helps me to always learn, always share my knowledge with other agents and become a wealth of knowledge for my sphere.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

Overcoming the myths and fear from national media.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Take your passions and leverage them. I am a trainer at the core, so I lead podcast, webinars, training courses to teach people about the home buying and selling process.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Always reading leadership, self help books and listening to motivational teachings. Lately I have been reading a great deal of leadership books as I prepare to publish my fifth book (this one on leadership).

What’s your favorite meal in Dallas?

Anything from Nick and Sam’s.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Dallas?

Besides any old courthouse, I love the 1st Baptist building Downtown Dallas.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

I have written four books.

What is your favorite city after Dallas?

Phoenix.

Develop an insane curiosity and remember professional development is your responsibility.
