BoomTown announces Give Back Awards winners

The real estate marketing platform BoomTown has announced the winners of the second annual BoomTown Give Back Awards. These yearly awards are part celebration, part fundraiser; in an effort to meant to promote charitable efforts by members of the real estate community, BoomTown also donates $10 per nomination to the Homes for Heroes Foundation.

In all, BoomTown raised $1,100 for Homes for Heroes through accepting nominations. And now, the winners have been revealed: Nikki Nunez, Preston Smith and Sasha Mason. Nunez, a Realtor and team leader at Utah Best Real Estate Team, won the the Helping Hand award in recognition of the LoganLoved charity which she founded.

Smith, who co-owns the Colorado-based Sellstate Alliance Realty & Property Management, won the Walk the Talk award in honor of making charity a part of their business. Through widespread efforts, his brokerage has donated $2 million back to the local community.

And finally, Sasha Mason, a real estate agent at Hawaii’s Corcoran Pacific Properties, was the recipient of the Creative Changemaker award. Mason facilitates empowering events and workshops for survivors of domestic abuse.

“It’s been a privilege to facilitate the recognition of those in our industry who are truly paying it forward for a second year in a row,” said Grier Allen, the president of BoomTown. “We’re excited about the growth and engagement of this initiative, the hundreds of examples of people doing good, and the opportunity to contribute to so many worthy causes.”

The BoomTown Give Back Award recipients were chosen by the company’s service and outreach organization, BoomTownLOVE.
